A better product inquiry starts here.

A practical checklist for discussing a research product with a supplier.

Describe the research task

State the workflow stage and the task you need the product to perform. Keep personal or sensitive research information out of an initial inquiry.

Name the essential configuration

List the relevant dimensions, material, capacity, tip or blade geometry, or plate format. Separate essential requirements from preferences.

Explain what it must fit

Include the pipette, vessel, rack, imaging setup or other equipment that matters. A brand name alone may not identify the exact model.

List the documents you need

Ask for the specification sheet and any applicable instructions or quality documents for the exact item. Do not assume every family has the same documents.

Make the purchasing context clear

Add a quantity or estimated volume, pack preference, destination country and desired timing. Confirm pricing and availability in the eventual quotation.

This checklist supports a purchasing conversation. It is not an experimental protocol or product-performance validation.
